Position Title : Irrigation Manager
Take ownership of an irrigation operation where your technical expertise and leadership will have a direct impact. A growing landscape maintenance and irrigation services company is seeking an Irrigation Manager to lead its dedicated irrigation function across residential, commercial, multifamily, and HOA properties throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. This is a hands-on leadership role combining approximately 70% field work with 30% office and administrative responsibilities, including crew oversight, scheduling, troubleshooting, service and repair, work tickets, inventory, and customer communication.
The ideal candidate is an experienced irrigation professional who knows how to troubleshoot complex issues in the field while leading people, maintaining accountability, and keeping work moving efficiently. This opportunity is also well suited for a strong senior irrigation technician who has demonstrated leadership ability and is ready to step into a management role.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 / Year, DOE
Responsibilities - Lead and oversee a dedicated irrigation team, managing daily productivity, performance, and field execution
- Schedule irrigation service calls and coordinate work across residential, commercial, multifamily, and HOA properties
- Spend approximately 70% of the role in the field checking sites, supporting technicians, and resolving higher-level irrigation issues
- Perform and support hands-on irrigation troubleshooting, service, and repairs, with limited installation work
- Manage work tickets, timesheets, inventory, and time-and-material verification to ensure accurate and efficient operations
- Communicate professionally with customers and occasionally prepare minor service estimates
- Balance field leadership with office responsibilities, including scheduling, administrative work, and operational coordination
Requirements - Minimum 3 years of experience as a senior irrigation technician, irrigation manager, or in a comparable irrigation leadership capacity
- Strong hands-on irrigation service, repair, and advanced troubleshooting experience
- Proven ability to lead employees, maintain accountability, and keep field crews productive
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills with the ability to clearly explain technical issues
- Comfortable managing scheduling, work tickets, timesheets, inventory, and other administrative responsibilities
- Proficiency with computers, email, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office; Aspire experience is a plus
- Spanish communication skills are a plus but are not required
