Driver HelperWatkins Distributing is a family owned and operated beverage distribution company that has serviced Idaho and Montana for four generations.Driver helpers are responsible for helping with local delivery activities within a defined territory. This position provides delivery support for the truck route serving Sidney and Glendive.Reliable transportation is required. Either a company vehicle will be provided, or mileage reimbursement will be paid for use of a personal vehicle.Job Responsibilities:Assist delivery drivers with delivering product in a safe, timely, and professional mannerUnload product from delivery vehicles using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and proper handling techniquesDeliver and move product into customer locations, including navigating stairs, tight spaces, and varying environmentsStock coolers, shelves, and displays at customer locations at time of deliveryRotate product in accordance with company standardsPick up and return empty kegs and damaged product as assignedAssist with verifying deliveries and completing required documentationCommunicate effectively with delivery drivers, sales representatives, supervisors, and store personnelFollow all safety procedures and company policies at all timesPerform all duties in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner in accordance with productivity standardsPerform other duties as assignedPreferred Skills & Abilities:Valid driver's license and no major driving violations.Strong time management, attention to detail, and communication skills.Must be able to navigate a hand truck full of product.Ability to utilize standard hand-held computer input/output devices.Physical Demands & Work Environment:Must be able to lift and move cases ranging from 20 - 30 lbs. regularly and 160 lbs. to waist level. Tasks include bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.Work independently across multiple retail locations throughout the shift.Operate delivery vehicle safely in frequently varying weather conditions.Benefits:Paid Time Off401k matching up to 7%Health insurance after 60 days
