Location: 

This position will require daily visits to our properties in Massanutten and Wintergreen, and therefore would be ideal for candidates living in the Staunton / Waynesboro / Charlottesville general vicinity. Travel expense reimbursement described below.

Job Description:

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Onboarding Specialist to assist with the initial setup of our new short-term rental properties, primarily in Massanutten and Wintergreen. If you're tech-savvy, organized, and thrive in an autonomous, dynamic environment—this is the role for you. This role reports to our Onboarding Manager, who is the primary point of contact for our clients as they work to get their properties ready for us to manage. 

Responsibilities: 

• Serve as our “eyes and ears” for upcoming properties. Assess progress with renovations and property setup so we have an accurate understanding of timeline for expected property launches. 
• Stock new properties with house and guest supplies. Organize and label supply closets. 
• Be present on the day of photography to stage the property ahead of time. Work with photographer to ensure we are capturing all the images we need. 
• Document and catalog a multitude of aspects about the property into Breezeway (the software we use to house information about our properties). 
• Assist with last minute preparations as needed. Be prepared to run and grab something from Walmart, or help assemble a last minute piece of furniture, or leaf-blow the decks, etc. 
• Help educate the rest of our team about any particular property amenities and/or quirks by taking videos, writing basic instructions, etc. 
• In periods when there are fewer property launches, assist the Market Managers with similar on-site tasks at properties that have already launched in the past. There is never a shortage of things that need doing :) 

Requirements: 

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills 
• Self-starter with a high level of trustworthiness and follow-through 
• Comfortable with technology and software tools 
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills 
• Must be local to the Central Virginia area or willing to relocate 
• A can-do attitude and the ability to respond quickly within a sometimes changing environment. Ability to “roll with the punches”. 
• Must have access to computer, smartphone, and reliable internet 
• Note that this is a physically active role that will require a lot of time spent on one’s feet, including lifting / moving supply boxes regularly. 
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license 

Pay:

This is a full time, salaried position. Starting salary range is $40,000-$45,000 depending on experience. Additionally, we will reimburse travel expenses at the rate of $.40 per mile.

Hours:

40 hours per week. Generally we’re looking for M-F daytimes. IMPORTANT NOTE: on days when we have photography scheduled for a particular property, we usually schedule that to happen later in the day to catch the ideal lighting around twilight. The timing of this varies based on the season, but especially in the warmer months, we may want you to shift your hours a bit later just on those days when we have photography scheduled.
